• Custom protocol development that combines the proper animal model with effective drug dosing and environment (diet, housing).
• Use of proprietary (T2DN, HyperGenix, Consomics) or standard (Sprague-Dawley, Dahl SS, FHH. Zucker) rat models of human diseases.
• Surgical procedures including uninephrectomy; implantation of femoral catheter, jugular catheter, telemetry devices or osmotic pumps.
• Acute and chronic dosing protocols by oral gavage; subcutaneous, IP, intramuscular and tail vein injections; osmotic pump implantation.
• Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic dosing of client drug compounds.
• Gross necropsy that includes detection of drug-induced abnormalities, organ removal and preservation for histological or molecular analysis.
